come in and visit a while
Hey there! Welcome to our house. It’s nearly Christmas and we’re a bit behind. We decided to redo the laundry room and that displaced so many things to the kitchen, which, of course, must not be used for a while, until the dust settles. That’s my story and I’m staying with it. So, many of the pics I am showing you are last year’s but I’ve added a few just to keep it fun. To tell you the truth, my house looks mostly the same, except the five construction guys, the dust, and the washer and dryer in my entry, due to the remodel of my laundry room–did I mention that already? Seems to be a theme for us right now…
Sooo, that said, may I get you a cup of tea? I’ll start the music. I’ve had enough coffee already. I think I’ll have a chamomile citrus. Maybe you’d like Darjeeling or Lady Grey? Alright, Lady Grey it is. Here you go.

Now how about a sugar cookie? Just one won’t hurt the diet. They’re really light and crisp with such pretty colors. Like this one?
You know I can’t give you a picture cookie without sharing my favorite Christmas morning breakfast quiche recipe. You can make it ahead and have it smelling the house delicious while you open your presents.
Christmas Quiche
Ingredients
1 package Jimmy Dean or Owens sausage, spicy or regular, cooked and crumbled (Cathy recommends ½ to ¾ package)
1-½ cups grated Swiss cheese
5 beaten eggs
1-cup light cream
¼ c. green pepper
¼ c. chopped red pepper
2 T. chopped onions
1 Pillsbury pie crust, fitted into 9 inch deep dish pie plate
Cook sausage and crumble and drain. Mix cheese and sausage. Sprinkle on to shell. Lightly beat eggs, and combine remaining ingredients; add to egg mixture. Pour into pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, or until knife inserted comes out clean. Cool on rack. Serves 6 to 8.
What’s that? You want to see my Christmas decorations? Yes, I heard. BooMama is hosting the 2008 Christmas Tour of Homes, and Monday’s the day. Well, I’d love to show you what we have so far. The kids aren’t all home yet so the gingerbread house is still not decorated, and the lights don’t show up very well in the pictures, but we’re getting there.
Have a most blessed Christmas remembering our Lord who brings Light and Life abundant to a darkened winter world. Jesus is the Gift. Thanks for stopping by.
love,
annie

Beautiful video, fun story about the home remodel and well, I think I’ll try the quiche for breakfast this year. We had pancakes (a family fave) on Thanksgiving… The quiche will keep it interesting.
Blessings at Christmas and thanks for the tour and a cup of tea. I think your Santa collection is quite beautiful and I love the song! Our high school chior sang it every year at Christmas – before it became quite politically incorrect. I’m so grateful God allows me those precious memories.
Blessings again and I’ll pray for the remodeling…
I love it! And I’m very impressed with your video – fancy
You have such a lovely home but my favorite thing is family pictures….even if I don’t know a soul….the love just comes through a family group picture!
You are blessed with a wonderful family!
Blessings for a great Christmas with them!
Love the “gandolf” Santa and your theme of redoing the laundry room – we managed to get the redo of our bathroom far enough along so the bathtub wasn’t in front of our Christmas tree. The Lord is good. Merry Christmas.
